I named my appraisal company "Seahaven" for its location near the sea and the area's past history as a safe haven for those seeking shelter and refuge from tropical storms, hurricanes and from the law. Mariners, pirates, explorers, rum runners from Cuba, drug runners from South America and smugglers from the Caribbean sought safe haven among the dense mangroves and inlets of our coast and barrier islands.
Today, the entire Southwest Gulf Coast is a "seahaven" for incoming transferees and retirees from the North and from around the world. Our warm sub tropical climate, pristine beaches and sparkling waters offer the paradise many are looking for. Everybody, it seems, wants to live here.
