I've been a Realtor since 1972. I started in Denver, Colorado with a fantastic man named Troy Jackson. Troy was a great trainer and taught me the basics of real estate. I worked for Troy for over a year then joined a company named Perry and Butler; a very successful real estate company in Denver Colorado. They had a terrific staff of young men who all went on to become very successful Realtors. Many lasting friendships were made there.
After 3 years, I was the first to leave Perry and Butler for an upcoming new company named RE/MAX. RE/MAX was a new 100% office sharing concept and I was one of the first 68 people working at RE/MAX. Of course you know their story ..... they became huge and I was part of that excitement and success for 13 years. Incidentally, all my old friends from Perry and Butler soon joined me at RE/MAX too!
After RE/MAX, it was Cherry Creek Realtors, Metro Brokers/Rossiter & Associates and finally just Rossiter & Associates ..... my own company without any affiliation.
In addition to listing and selling under my own company, the market was hot for new construction so I started Rossiter Custom Homes and built spec homes AND sold real estate. Business was great and I loved building homes.
When the market cooled, I decided to add an Appraiser's license to my credentials. I had all my bases covered now: Brokerage, Custom Home building and my own Appraisal business too.
Today, I can still remember the very first home I listed and sold .... 38 years ago!! Since my start in 1972, I've sold maybe 600 homes, done perhaps 1,700 appraisals, and built several homes. I remember a lot of those clients. Most were great people that I enjoyed working with and getting to know. A lot of warm friendships were made. And of course, I raised two wonderful daughters with my wife Susan. I learned to fly and also pursued my passion for fishing. It's been quite a ride and I enjoyed most every minute of it.
Today, I'm living the dream with my wife in Cape Coral Florida. I'm a State Licensed Real Estate Broker, a State Certified Residential Appraiser, a Special Magistrate, and a USCG licensed Charter Captain and Guide.
